The Madison HS Nordic Ski Club boys team took home the gold in the Wisconsin Nordic Ski League State Meet last weekend in Rhinelander. Evan Patz won the skate race Sunday morning and placed 2nd in the pursuit and Gabe Forest took 2nd in the skate and 3rd in the pursuit. The girls also had a great race and placed 5th. HS Coach Bill Rattunde said that the weekend was a roller coaster that fortunately ended on top because the Madison skiers kept pushing and had the goods in the end. Rattunde thanked Blackhawk for making the training possible during these fickle winters. He went on to thank Blackhawk and the entire Madison nordic community for their support. The program is at a record high level this year with a promising next generation coming up through the Middle School program. Great job done by all the High School and Middle school kids that participated last weekend  Full race results can be found at Performance Timing.
