About the Club
Blackhawk Ski Club was founded to develop and promote the sports of nordic and alpine skiing. Located in Middleton, Wisconsin (immediately west of Madison), we are a group of families and single members who thoroughly enjoy outdoor sports. Blackhawk Ski Club was founded in 1947 and is incorporated as a non-stock, not for profit organization. The club has thrived because of the active participation and volunteerism of our members.
On our sixty acres of land we downhill and cross country ski, ski jump on our five jumps, and bike around our five miles of mountain bike trails. We have an active Ski Patrol that is affiliated with the National Ski Patrol System to promote safe skiing. Over the years, we both have built and acquired facilities such as two heated chalets, snowmaking equipment, and machines to keep the slopes well groomed.
We are open for members only. We limit our family memberships so that our facilities are not overcrowded. We operate Monday afternoon, Thursday, Friday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday. Our family membership offers you great skiing right here in the Madison area. There are no additional fees or daily use charges. The youth programs and ski instruction are optional.
We welcome members to participate in our club right from the beginning. Whatever is happening in our club - We make it happen! Please join us.
