Recreational Alpine Ski Hours of Operation

Gates open and tow rope running with Ski Patrol

  • Monday 3:00 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. *
  • Friday 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday Noon – 6:00 p.m. **
  • Sunday Noon – 6:00 p.m.

* Hill #5 is closed for lessons on Thursday evenings.
** Hills #1, #2, and #5 are closed for lessons on Saturday mornings until noon.

Holiday Schedule for Alpine

Open 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. during Madison Public Schools Winter Break, with following exceptions: open 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day; closed on Christmas day. Open 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday observed).

Cross Country Skiing Hours of Operation

Accessible any day and time. If main gate is locked, skiers can come in through smaller pedestrian gate. Trails are not patrolled. Skiers should use the buddy system.

Ski Jumping Hours of Operation

Ski jumping is allowed only during supervised times. Absolutely NO snowboarding, sledding, or mountain biking on the ski jumps. Violators will lose their Blackhawk memberships.
